I taught my first official lesson at the age of 12. My student was not much younger, but his mom still remembers the lessons fondly. She recently reminded me when she came up to the green room after a recent concert. Most musicians have an inherent need to pass on their experience and knowledge, especially when, in my case, I was lucky enough to work with Leonard Bernstein among others. The link below will take you to my teaching site which has many resources for students and browsers alike.
STUDENT TESTIMONIALS10/30/17That was an experience I am absolutely certain I shall never, ever forget!! It really was so wonderful to receive instruction and hear the opinions of Mr. Levinson. He was very warm and encouraging, and I can take a lot forward from his comments. Having the lesson online was fascinating! It really exceeded my expectations, and for me it felt that there were very few limitations – incredible to reach a professor thousands of miles away for my lesson!
